A Prayer for Peace and Unity

God of peace, mercy, and compassion, we give you thanks for your ever-present love and care, and for the message of the psalmist who proclaims "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

With growing violence and destruction at Ukraine's borders, grant a peaceful resolution to this conflict, and offer your protection, hope, and guidance to all. As church together with many members of the one body of Christ, show us how to follow Jesus in accompanying our global neighbors striving for freedom, justice, and peace.

Trusting in your life, death, resurrection, and ascension, may our hearts turn to you as the Holy Spirit renews our faith, trust, and patience in your righteousness, love, and mercy.

Amen.
